White Nylons is a story of a young woman in the 1980s, while working as a unit clerk in a large hospital she decides to become a nurse. Upon entering nursing school many things change in her life. A surprise divorce, becoming a single mom, a double homicide at work and dating disasters are just a few hurdles the main character must overcome. Drug parties, NYC discos, fashion, and the Chippendales all play a part in her adventure to achieve the coveted “White Nylons Degree” her RN.

About the Author
Hi, I'm Deborah Lauder Author of White Nylons. This book is a work of fiction and some non-fiction based on my journey through nursing school from 1983 to 1985.
I graduated from Columbus Technical Institute in Columbus Ohio on September 13, 1985 and went on to get my BSN from Otterbein University in Westerville Ohio.
My nursing career included: staff RN positions at the hospital in oncology, renal, post op surgical floors, and general surgery floors. I have worked in medical sales, nursing home administration, a small free standing eye surgery center and in home health care before retiring.
After a wonderful career in nursing, I am now retired and living in Delaware, Ohio. I have been married to my best friend and soul mate for 32 years and we are still having fun. I now enjoy biking, golf and art. My son married a wonderful girl and I now have a beautiful granddaughter and twin grandsons.
